About The Founder
David Young, Founder & Managing Principal
David has more than 35 years of experience in the Property & Casualty insurance industry, including positions with the world’s largest brokers, specializing in large corporate clients. As Managing Principal for Soteria Risk, he is responsible for the management of all company operations and business development. He currently serves as a lecturer for the Risk Management and Insurance Degree program for the Business School of the University of Colorado, Denver, teaching Practical Enterprise Risk Management. In 2013, he was awarded a Power Broker Award in the Hospitality category and a Responsibility Leader Award from Risk and Insurance magazine. He currently serves on the national RIMS Standards and Practices council evaluating the new COSO ERM standard.
